What Is Lakeshore Dog Walking?

Lakeshore Dog Walking is a pet services company offering dog walking (semi-private or private) and pet sitting in south Etobicoke/Lakeshore West. We are a little different than other dog walkers in the Toronto area because we only walk dogs on a leash!!

Many pet parents seek the services of a dog walker when it becomes difficult to walk their dogs. For a variety of reasons, many simply do not want their dog to be taken to an off-leash dog park in a group of 6 dogs. This is where Lakeshore Dog Walking can help! We are pet first-aid certified, insured and bonded and a proud member of the All Canadian Pet Services Network (www.acpsn.com)

Services:

Semi-Private On-Leash Walk (2-3 dogs, 45 minutes)
Private On-Leash Walk (1 dog, 30 minutes)
30 minute Pet Sitting Visit (1-3 cats or small animals)
Emergency Let-Out Service (subject to location and availability)
Need something else? Just ask!!!

About Us

A lifelong animal owner and lover, Nadia Pike is the owner and sole proprietor of Lakeshore Dog Walking. She first became interested in the "doggie world" when trying to find a training class for her first dog, Jasper (Shi Tzu cross). Advice came fast and furious: from dog owners at dog parks - to pet store workers pushing the newest premium kibble - to strangers on the street. It was all a very confusing experience, made even more so by the addition of her second dog, Milo (Chihuahua/Portuguese Hound cross). Being a "special" kind of dog, Milo needed extra help: he was hand-shy, fear-aggressive and wary of strangers. Typical Chi? Perhaps. But what is a responsible pet owner to do?

Despite considering herself a fairly level-headed person and holding two university degrees (BA and BEd), Nadia struggled daily. Her positive experiences with a calm, experienced local dog trainer not only helped her dogs - it enabled her to choose her career in the pet services industry.

Helping other responsible pet owners just like herself was the obvious next step. As a dog training apprentice with "Pup Eez Dog Training", Nadia is gaining valuable obedience training experience using positive, "lure-reward" techniques. She is constantly educating herself about dog behaviour and training, and has a special interest in the temperament and socialization issues of small-breed dogs.
